Born on July 5, 1930, Janab Zulfeqar Husain devoted his life to the service of others, leaving an indelible mark on the community before his passing on October 8, 2008. A strong advocate for affordable housing, he served as a member of the Maharashtra Housing Board for 15 years, helping to provide low-cost homes to families in need. His role as secretary of the Waqf Board was equally influential, and he was instrumental in the founding of the Bombay Mercantile Bank in Aurangabad, which provided employment and accessible loans to countless people. As a board member for over 30 years, his work at the bank uplifted many families economically.
The founding of Faiz E Aam Trust in 1982 was inspired by a personal tragedy that moved him deeply. When an old house in Aurangabad collapsed, killing the parents and leaving four orphaned children, the incident struck him profoundly. This heart-wrenching event became the catalyst for the creation of the Trust, aiming to provide long-term solutions to similar crises.
